The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) announced new resources today to educate bank customers about appropriate steps they can take to help avoid fraud and other cyber threats when banking online or on their mobile devices. Staying true to its “Truly Local” motto Chesapeake Bank and Trust now marks its 5th year promoting the Spend Local Stay Local Gift card and welcomes 39 partner Chestertown area businesses who accept the card. Per Chesapeake Bank and Trust Bank President Glenn Wilson, “The ‘spend local stay local’ gift card helps us choose local first and preserve our unique sense of place. You can purchase local with the card, give it as a gift, and help us all support local.”
